Chef, author and broadcaster with three decades of culinary experience
Brought up in Cumbria, I’ve crossed continents and worked as a chef in Delhi's hotel kitchens, cooked in street bazaars, palaces, TV studios and in homes across India. Based in London, I continue to create recipes, write about food, and share regional Indian cooking skills. My latest book, India The World Vegetarian (Bloomsbury Absolute), is now available.

Across the miles: Cumbria to New Delhi and now London
I grew up with Cumbrian baking alongside my mother's masalas in our kitchen. At eighteen, I rubbed the rough edges from my northern cooking style at the Cordon Bleu Cookery School in London, and then lived in India for two decades…
I work with international and British brands across the food, hospitality and media sectors. As an industry expert, I have a track record in delivering content across print, broadcast and multiplatform. I'm also a published author and restaurant reviewer, with decades of experience as a chef and recipe developer for restaurants, magazines and food brands.
